Which Penalty Takers Are the Best FPL Value?

The best pen takers are the ones who are already nailed to your team or cheap enough to be a bargain. Three premiums take every one of their team's penalties, which is a big chunk of why they out-score their price: Haaland (Man City), Palmer (Chelsea) and Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) are all on 100%.

At the value end, Groß (Brighton, £5.5m, 95%), Calvert-Lewin (Leeds, £6.0m, 95%) and Wissa (Newcastle, £6.1m, 95%) are the cheapest near-guaranteed takers in the game. Kluivert (Bournemouth, £6.0m, 85%), Mateta (Crystal Palace, £6.5m, 85%) and Wright (Coventry, £5.4m, 85%) add penalties to already-strong budget roles.

Watch the Share column before you pay for the badge. Not every club has a settled taker: some split spot-kicks between two players, and a taker on 50% is worth roughly half the penalty bonus of one on 100%. Anything under about 80% means you are buying a coin flip rather than a guaranteed role, so read the number rather than the reputation.

Penalties turn a good midfielder into a great one. Palmer and Bruno take every Chelsea and Man Utd spot-kick, and that alone is worth a couple of extra hauls a season over a team-mate who does not.
