TL;DR

The best Wildcard team for Gameweek 6 on live projected points: a legal £100m squad drafted for Gameweeks 6 to 11. Play the chip if your squad needs six or more changes, hold it if two or three transfers would do.

Why GW6 Is the Wildcard Window

  • Five gameweeks is a real sample. Roles have settled, the summer signings have either started or not, and the early price rises have mostly happened.
  • Activate early, confirm late. Play the chip at the start of the break to bank price rises and dodge falls, then keep adjusting for free until the deadline.
  • Wait out the internationals. Players pick up knocks on international duty. Make your final moves after the last international fixture, not before it.
  • No double is coming. Gameweeks 6 to 9 are all single gameweeks, so this Wildcard is about squad quality and fixture runs, not chasing a double.

How to Build the Draft

  • Start from your keeps. List the players you would never sell, then build around what is left of the budget.
  • Draft for GW6 to GW11. The squad stays with you, so rank clubs on the fixture ticker over the next six gameweeks. Arsenal at home to Leeds is the softest GW6 draw for a big side, and Liverpool against Man City is the one fixture that makes premiums on both sides a harder sell for the week itself.
  • Fix the shape, not just the names. Most broken squads are broken structurally: too much money on the bench, or three players from one struggling side.
  • Spend to the last £0.1m. A Wildcard is the one time you can empty the bank without hits.
  • Check your bench plays. Four bench players who start beat one expensive sub who does not.

If your squad only needs two or three moves, hold the chip. The first Wildcard lasts until Gameweek 19 and a second one unlocks for the second half. Let the chip optimizer test the timing for your exact squad, and see the GW6 tips for this week's captain and transfers.
