TL;DR
The Triple Captain pick for GW7 is Haaland: he leads the live expected points (xPts) for the week on 8.7, ahead of Saka on 6.4. Man City host Ipswich at difficulty 2 and no double gameweek is scheduled before the first chip expires, so play it on Haaland if he is in your squad.

Should You Triple Captain Haaland in GW7?
Yes, if he is in your squad. The chip adds a third helping of your captain's score, so it pays most in the week your best captain is furthest clear of the rest.
- Man City vs Ipswich (H), difficulty 2. The weeks either side are Liverpool and Aston Villa away, both rated 4.
- The chip is worth one more Haaland score. On the projections that is about 8.7 extra points over a normal captaincy.
- Most squads already own him. Around three in four managers have Haaland, so tripling him mostly protects your rank. You gain on the managers who hold the chip or captain someone else.
- No transfer comes with it. If Haaland is not in your squad, bringing him in costs a free transfer or a 4-point hit, and a hit comes straight off the chip's gain.
GW7 or Hold the Chip?
- No double gameweek before Gameweek 19. A double gameweek (DGW) gives your captain two matches in one week. Every club plays once in each of Gameweeks 6 to 19, so the first Triple Captain goes on a single fixture whenever you play it.
- The first chip must be played by Gameweek 19. The second covers Gameweeks 20 to 38, and an unused first chip does not carry over.
- Ipswich is the first of five soft home games. City also host Brighton (GW9), Fulham (GW11), Leeds (GW13) and Hull (GW16), all at difficulty 2. Holding for one of them only pays if its projection beats this one.
- Your own squad decides the week. The chip optimizer ranks every Triple Captain week for your team on the live numbers, alongside the Wildcard and Bench Boost. The fixture ticker shows the same run for every club.
Getting the Most From It
- Confirm the start. Read City's pre-match press conference before you commit. A rested Haaland wastes the chip.
- Set a vice-captain who plays. If your captain does not play, the triple passes to your vice-captain. If neither plays, the chip is used up with no bonus.
- Keep the rest of the XI strong. The chip only changes the armband, so let the solver pick the best 11 around him.
